THE BACKSCRATCHER

PETOSKEY WEATHER

Established 2008

The Backscratcher is a 90 hole golf tournament played over the course of three days.  36 holes are played as four person teams, 36 holes played as two man teams, and the final round is played individually.  Points are awarded for place finished, scoring average, money list and events.

The 17th Backscratcher will head to Boyne in 2025. This will be the second time the Backscratcher visits the Petoskey area resort. Bay Harbor, the Pebble Beach of the Midwest, will be the backdrop of both the first and final rounds.

In 2008, four golfers traveled to Nashville, Tennessee and the Backscratcher was born. Referred to as the "Founding Fathers," they play an integral role in the planning, execution, and running of the event.
